I'm surprised because I didn't think that I would be able to work with this topic additionaly for myself. I painted a lot of simmilar looked dragons for card game Racial Wars and I have been really tired. I thought that I won't be able to paint dragons anymore :P but as you can see, here they are. New skin for my pen tablet.

I have been fighting with my pen tablet since "work accident", and (of course) the bandadge wasn't a good idea, so i listened to some of my friends advice (thank you Yarosh, it was really helpfull!! :)) to attach a piece of usual pen.
And here we are! My pimped up pen. I think he loves this blue. It just fits him... He looks as he was new.. and is also more comfortable for me to work :P

EDIT: When my another friend Commander_Barnik read this post, he said that it is "fucking awesome customization". Then Noiprox replied: "I will destroy my own INTOUS4 pen to do the same!"
This could be a new wave in our digital painting society, hahahah :D

Refreshed old concept

Hello, guys! I have forgotten to show you another funny thing :) It's a refreshed old concept. I didn't intend to repaint all the picture - just render it a little more. It's a very good egzample to show you, how important is to think about light and shadow, when you finish your artwork. These things learned me in last year Noiprox, for what i'm still gratefull to him :>

An old version was done in August 2010 in OpenCanvas. This new version was improved in September 2011 in Photoshop.

I took my old simple sketch, repainted this a litlle bit, added layer with very simple gradient on multiply for background, added another layer in linear dodge mode for lighting effects and added shadows under their feet and that's it!
Maybe you don't think that's a "really big different" but i belive it is.
Funny thing to learn a few tricks and improve your painting skill in a year or so.

Work accident

Hi guys, i have something awesome to show you :D. This thing is my pen tablet. I had to show you how now it looks like :P My six years old pen eventually changed his cover... I used to scratch this gummy cover for all of these years and suddenly it just broke up. Now I replaced this gummy thing with bandage and adhesive tape... I had to improvise...

If you are curious: yes, it still works, luckily :P At first I was scared, that maybe this bandage will be unconfortible to work with it.. and there was still a lot work to do... but as you can see, this tiny silver bastard loves life and it's very hard to kill :D

Remember! Take special care of your work tools. They are your the closest companion with your digital path! :P

Feather Cycle

Cycle for my drawing class done on academy befeore I finished it. Each of them has resolution 100x70cm. Media used here: ink, chorocoal, black crayon, spray black and gray, a lot of water and just imagination :)
In this little personal project, i wanted to show "feather" and "fog" in minimalistic way and bring they to life: if you would stare at them for a while, you will see the creatures and flora :)
They could look easy to make but i hope you will find it esthetic.

The main idea in this project was to draw 5 faces very similar to sculpture. Each of them displays different states of soul.
From left: Redemption, Reqiem, Awaken, Forsaken and Revelation.
Textures used here were macro photos of my traditional drawings and paintings.

Finally, I finish my study at Academy of Fine Arts soon, so i'm pretty busy lately. I have a lot of work to do, for example i'm going to do "something special" with my cycle "Requiem" that my boyfriend found out :) Everything will be posted here, so if you are interested with this project, check this blog soon.

Between all these activities, I have taken a break, to paint somethins simple. I have a lot of fun with this one. Texture used here, is just a macro photo of one of my drawing :)

Podążając za ćwiczeniami z Feng Zhu Design School, w końcu zrobiłam sylwetki. To ćwiczonko miałam robić już dawno dawno, ale jakoś nigdy się na to nie zebrałam, a trzeba przyznać że jest to bardzo pomocne zadanko. Człowiek zaczyna sobie zdawać sprawę z tego jak ważne są kształty dla ogólnego odbioru postaci.

Dla odmiany, zaczęłam ćwiczyć creature design. Zainspirowałam się bardzo oglądając wpisy wymiataczy w tej branży na CREATURE SPOT . Zmobilizowana do działania zaczęłam rysować, i wierzcie mi lub nie, ale bardzo jestem usatysfakcjonowana tego typu działaniami :> Zmienia to trochę myślenie o rysowaniu: nie jest ono już takie mechaniczne, tylko trzeba myśleć jak narysować dany element żeby wyglądał wiarygodnie.

Oczywiście nie są to jakieś bardzo zaawansowane i skomplikowane designy, ale myślę że pewnego dnia dojrzeję do wymyślania naprawdę świetnych stworów :) kwestia ćwiczeń, ćwiczeń, ćwiczeń..

Moja najbardziej wykończona praca ewer chyba nauczyłam się szczęśliwie dłubać i wykańczać prace. Ta robótka naliczyła aż 147 warstw i jest to mój prawdziwy rekord: zwykle ograniczałam sie do kilku.

Moment kiedy Gorgona zamienia w kamień jakiegoś nieszczęśnika
Praca wygrała konkurs na max3d.pl Chalange Corner o temacie "Mitologia"
Inne prace które wzieły udział w bitwie.
Po wygraniu konkursu jeszcze ją powoli dłubałam, żeby była lepsza bo kilka rzeczy mi bardzo przeszkadzało.

Ostatnimi czasy rysuję dużo - czasem wychodzi mi lepiej, czasem gorzej, niektóre zaczęte prace chyba mają potencjał, ale ciągle zaczynam nowe, przez co ciężko się wraca do starych. Zauważyłam właśnie, że mam strasznie dziwny rozrzut stylistyczny, i na każdej skupiam się na zupełnie różnych aspektach. Albo faktura, albo kolor, albo anatomia, albo kompozycja.. nie potrafię jakoś połączyć tych wszystkich zainteresowań w jeden spójny styl, ale mam nadzieję że w końcu mi się to uda, bo czuję się nieco sfrustrowana, jak za każdym razem prace wychodzą mi zupełnie inne i niepodobne do siebie.

Dla przykładu; na górze takie studium anatomii z podtekstem fantasy xD :)
